If you are looking to pick up the Drifters manga after the TV anime, you can start Drifters at Chapter 45. If you also watched the OVAs, which do advance the story somewhat, you would then start at Chapter 56.
The OVAs that actually advance the story are called “Drifters (OVA)” which is a 2-episode OVA sometimes labeled as the second season, and the Outlandish Knight, which is one episode.
What to Expect From The Drifters Manga?
The Drifters anime covers the manga story fairly well. As such, you don’t need to read it from the beginning, although the author’s art is enough of a treat to merit it.

The Drifters manga is still ongoing. It releases inconsistently, usually producing a volume every two to three years since the author only intermittently releases chapters as he feels like it. It’s not on hiatus, just notoriously slow releasing.
Will There Be A Drifters Season 2?
Unfortunately, Drifters only recently (as of 2023) had enough chapters to even fill what could be a second season of anime. As the series releases content so slowly, a Drifters Season 2 anime seems unlikely.
