I didn’t expect a lot from Dark Gathering because I have conditioned myself to expect very little from the rare horror anime that we do get, but it sure did become great! Its more youthful art style really puts you off guard to how messed up some of the ghosts are, and how weirdly sexual some of them are. All in all, it was a pretty great horror anime that was even legitimately creepy sometimes.
Where To Start The Dark Gathering Manga After The Anime?

The anime adapts all chapters except the final chapter of Volume 9.
What to Expect From The Dark Gathering Manga?
The anime is a quite good adaptation of the the manga since the chapters are often long enough to be full episodes in and of themselves, so it is easy to just slip on in and continue the story. There is no need to read it from the beginning.
Is The Dark Gathering Manga Over?
The Dark Gathering manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2019, it has released at a three-volume per year pace. Since the chapters themselves are so long, you get plenty more story content.
Will There Be A Dark Gathering Season 2?
Unfortunately, a Dark Gathering Season 2 has not been announced.
Honestly, we were a bit blessed to get a 2-cour series for a horror manga in the first place. While the manga has a total of 54 chapters (as of the end of the first season of anime), and they are long chapters, there is enough material for another season. However, horror series are rarely profitable, so another season may not be on the horizon.
