While Cyborg 009 laid the groundwork for Super Sentai as we know it today, boy is it a hard series to get into. Though, luckily, the arcs are all pretty easy to enjoy on their own if you know the characters.

Where To Start The Cyborg 009 Manga After The Anime?
TL;DR – There has never been a complete adaptation of the Cyborg 009 manga in full, and the adaptations get less faithful with age. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the manga storytelling itself is pretty disconnected between its various arcs.
Cyborg 009 (1968)
While the oldest and original Cyborg 009 anime, the 1968 version is also the most faithful to the manga of all of them.
That said, there are many anime-original episodes and the episodes that do adapt the manga story by often taking large chunks from certain chapters and inserting their own anime-original content. The anime also does not adapt the chapters or the arcs they belong to in much of an order.
That said, this series does employ the same art style and a similar style of storytelling (a bit bare bones and somewhat disconnected) like the manga. It also kept the core characters the most similar from the manga with the exception of 007 who was made into a boy, for some reason.
Cyborg 009 (1979)
The 1979 version of Cyborg 009 takes bits and pieces from the manga, but is mostly anime-original.
However, in terms of characters and storytelling, it keeps very similar to the manga, it just expands the story a lot more.
Cyborg 009 (2001)
The 2001 version of the Cyborg 009 is considered the best entry point to the Cyborg 009 series, but it also starts greatly deviating from the manga. If we are being honest, the older storytelling of the Cyborg 009 manga doesn’t exactly mesh well with the more modern storytelling you find in anime.
Like the 1979 anime, there were arcs and stories from the manga present in this series, but greatly changed and sometimes expanded.
Cyborg 009 (2016) Movies
The 2016 movies and its 2012 prequel, 009 Re:Cyborg, are the most detached from the manga and are just doing their own thing with the characters independent from the manga. Furthermore, the story and world is given more modern ties.
Other Cyborg 009 Manga
There are a number for very short, often oneshot or single volume re-imaginings of Cyborg 009, but those are more side stories and homages to the series by different authors. They rarely have any connection to the anime, though the Cyborg 009 Versus Devilman OVAs are, weirdly enough, the most diligently adapted to anime of the whole franchise, though the OVAs do start in an alternate setting compared to that manga.
009-1
While often confused with Cyborg 009 due to its similar naming scheme and being by the same author, 009-1 is not related to Cyborg 009 outside of the fact that several cyborgs from Cyborg 009 do make an appearance.
Unfortunately, while it also has an anime, it is somewhat related to Cyborg 009 in that the anime sort of freestyles the manga story, giving it a sort of abridged adaptation that does cover most of the manga. The biggest difference you would notice is that the anime gives a lot more screen time to the other agents outside of Mylene, the titular 009-1.
Is The Cyborg 009 Manga Over?
The Cyborg 009 manga is complete. It ended in 1967 or 1981 or 1998 or 2013.
What does that mean? Well, originally, it was meant to end in 1967 with the Underground Empire of Yomi arc where 009 dies, then the fan outrage convinced the author to re-write and continue the story onwards.
It then officially ended in 1981 with the Undersea Pyramid Arc; however, the author would release more short stories about the characters until his death in 1998, which left several unfinished new arcs for the story.
Finally, in 2013, the author’s son released Cyborg 009: Conclusion God’s War based on his father’s unpublished concept that serves as a final conclusion to the series.
Cyborg 009 has so many arcs and individual stories as well as has been reprinted so many different times that it is almost impossible to round up how many total volumes and chapters it has in a succinct way like I usually like to do in this section.
009-1 is easier to quantify. It is complete and ended 1974 with Volume 5, Chapter 39.
