Usually the character designs get worse when a manhua gets an anime adaptation, but not this time. The basic artwork of this series got a major glow up, which is kind of necessary if you are telling a harem story.

Where To Start The Cupid’s Chocolate Manhua After The Anime?
If you finished the Cupid’s Chocolate anime and wish to continue the story in the manhua, you can start at:
- If you finished Cupid’s Chocolate Season 1 – You can Start at Chapter 66
- If you finished Cupid’s Chocolate Season 2 – You can start at Chapter 180 (though it is not recommended)
As a note, Chapter 180 is an estimate. The final episode of Season 2 was Xiaotu leaving, and I can only find up to Chapter 176 of the manhua, translated or otherwise, which is building up to Xiaotu leaving by showing her backstory with Haoyi. If anyone has a more concrete answer, leave a comment.
What to Expect From The Cupid’s Chocolate Manhua?
Cupid’s Chocolate Season 1 was as good of an adaptation as you can hope for a donghua. The chapters for Cupid’s Chocolate are pretty short, so they can adapt a lot through animation, even if they did skip a bit.
However, Cupid’s Chocolate Season 2 was where things start to drop right off a cliff. Not only was a decent chunk of Season 2 just Season 1 again, but once they did start showing new story, they skipped a ton of chapters just to show the bits they wanted to show.
It is okay to start reading the Cupid’s Chocolate manhua after where Season 1 ended, but trying to read it after where Season 2 ended is definitely not recommended.
Is The Cupid’s Chocolate Manhua Over?
The Cupid’s Chocolate manhua is complete, or rather, it is allegedly complete with Chapter 398.
Will There Be A Cupid’s Chocolate Season 3?
There is a rumor that Cupid’s Chocolate got shut down for a Season 3 because it was too boobilicious and it fell victim to Chinese censorship laws. Of course, that is unsubstantiated internet rumor.
Equally as likely is that it wasn’t profitable enough to merit making more, especially given its slap-dash second season.
