In the vast sea of “battle high school where the students are training to fight with a specific MacGuffin” anime, Chivalry of a Failed Knight manages to stand out by, first and foremost, having a singular and progressing romance and also not having a dense-as-dirt main character.
While the anime was mostly just neat fights and cute couple moments, sometimes that is all you need. However, there is a plot to this series, the anime just didn’t quite get to it.
