Where To Start The Children of the Sea Manga After The Anime?
The Children of the Sea movie is technically a full adaptation of the five volume manga series.
However, think of Children of the Sea as just a summary of the series with a fraction of its depth. The movie essentially summarizes the full story.
What you missed in the movie is primarily the character backstories that feed into their motivations. If it isn’t about the main trio, it was left out of the movie, which leaves some of the other characters a bit forgotten.
That said, you may wish to go read the final volume since the manga does offer a bit of a better, more conclusive ending for the story than the vague, open to interpretation ending you got in the movie.
If you enjoyed the series, you would get a better version of it reading the manga from the beginning.
