Where To Start The Break Blade Manga After The Anime?
No matter whether you watched the TV anime or the six movies, both Break Blade products adapt up to the same point.
If you finished the Break Blade anime and want to continue the story with the manga, you can start at Volume 10, Chapter 51.
Though it is not recommended to continue from there due to the changes in the anime. Long story short, Volume 6, Chapter 27 would be a better place to start.
Break Blade Movies Versus TV
Why does Break Blade have a series of six movies as well as a TV anime that both adapt up to the same point? Your guess is as good as mine, if your guess is also “because money.” But seriously, it was because of money. The studio wanted to reach a “broader audience,” so it did both.
The Break Blade movies generally have more details as the TV anime is a highly condensed version of the same story, and the movies are also considered the better product. That said, the TV anime included details that the movies skipped as well, in some devious scheme to convince people to watch both.
Ultimately, both make changes to the manga story, so no matter what you watched, you will have missed some things.
What to Expect From The Break Blade Manga?
The Break Blade anime is… a bit of a mess. It wasn’t just that they skipped a lot of details, but the problem was more so that they started changing them as things went on. If you watched the movies/TV anime, they started changing quite a bit of details after Movie 4/Episode 8. After that, they start to make some significant changes to the story that would make jumping into the manga more difficult.
I would recommend reading the manga from the beginning, but if you absolutely do not want to, Volume 6, Chapter 27 would be the easiest place to jump into the story before the anime started making its significant changes.
Is The Break Blade Manga Over?
The Break Blade manga is complete. It ended in 2022 with Volume 20, Chapter 106.
Will There Be A Break Blade Season 2?
There has been no word on Break Blade since 2014 other than its manga quietly ending. Furthermore, the changes they made to the story would have made making more anime a challenge for them. So, I don’t think a Break Blade Season 2 is in the cards.
