Where Does The Blue Period Anime End in The Manga?

How far can passion take you? That there theme is what I enjoyed most about Blue Period, but if you liked the anime, you’ll love the manga. Not just because it is more story, but you’ll learn that for as good as the anime was, there was definitely something missing that makes it feel lesser. I am pretty sure it is a pacing issue.

Where To Start The Blue Period Manga After The Anime?

If you finished up the Blue Period anime and wish to continue on with the manga, you can do so at Chapter 26.

The anime adapts through Volume 6.

What to Expect From The Blue Period Manga?

So, Blue Period is an art series, but the anime put less emphasis on art and more emphasis on character drama – which is fine, but it is like Haikyuu being about character drama without much actual Volleyball.

That said, the anime rearranged events, but didn’t skip much. As such, there is nothing plot-important left out of the Blue Period anime, but the Blue Period manga does put a lot more emphasis on art, while also having some great art. So, while not mandatory, you should consider reading the Blue Period manga from the beginning.

Is The Blue Period Manga Over?

The Blue Period manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2017, it usually releases two volumes per year.

Will There Be A Blue Period Season 2?

Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement of a Blue Period Season 2 anime.

Blue Period was an enjoyable, but admittedly a very niche series with limited marketability. While the anime came out in 2021 and the window for a second season is still open, I do think a second season is unlikely.
