The amount of times people fight on a bridge—not just in the anime, but the manga too—is so comically high in this series. Regardless, while people were put off by the lots of talking and not a lot of fighting, this series is really more for the Shinsengumi stans and Bakumatsu boys than the samurai action enjoyers.

• If you finished Blue Miburo Season 2 – You can start the manga at Volume 15, Chapter 123 (AKA Volume 1, Chapter 1 of the Blue Miburo: Shinsengumi Arc manga)

Most some unofficial sources lump the two manga series together, but they are technically separate.

What to Expect From The Blue Miburo Manga?

While the anime and its actual sword battles left a little something to be desired, it was adapting the manga story rather well. The anime, while keeping plenty of sillier moments, did cut out a few of the more silly reaction shots to some moments and cut a few small details out, though.

Is The Blue Miburo Manga Over?

The Blue Miburo manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2021, it usually releases a stunning five volumes per year.

Do note that you may see this manga marked as having ended at Volume 14, Chapter 122 which is where the Blue Miburo: Shinsengumi Arc starts. However, that is still continuing the story—they just changed the name a bit for the new arc—and many sites do not treat it any differently.
