Where Does The Blue Lock Anime End in The Manga?

Despite some increasingly diminishing returns in animation, Blue Lock not only had great timing by airing during the World Cup, but really by being one of the highest tiers of soccer manga they could have picked. Intense and exciting to the point of embracing psychopathy, it created something you just cannot get enough of.

Where To Start The Blue Lock Manga After The Anime?

If you finished the Blue Lock anime and wish to continue the story with the manga, you can start at:

  • If you finished Blue Lock Season 1 – You can start at Volume 12, Chapter 95
  • If you finished Blue Lock Season 2 – You can start at Volume 18, Chapter 150

As for where the Episode Nagi movie ends in the corresponding Episode Nagi spin-off manga, well, it ends before the third selection. The problem being is that the Episode Nagi manga hasn’t even gotten to that point yet. Honestly, the movie just kind of sped through the material, seemingly because it wanted to end where the anime ends since Episode Nagi is just a re-telling of Blue Lock from Nagi’s POV. Otherwise, you can start Episode Nagi at Chapter 13 after the movie.

What to Expect From The Blue Lock Manga?

While everyone faults the art and animation when comparing the anime to the superior manga, the anime is actually doing a good job adapting the story. The one thing to keep in mind is that the manga does give more focus to some of the minor characters that the anime brushes aside.

That said, there is no reason to start the manga from the beginning unless you want to.

Is The Blue Lock Manga Over?

The Blue Lock manga is ongoing. Since launching in 2018, it usually releases five volumes per year.

The Blue Lock spin-off manga, Blue Lock – Episode Nagi, is also ongoing. Since launching in 2022, it releases around two volumes per year.

Will There Be A Blue Lock Season 3?

There has been no official announcement of a Blue Lock Season 3.

Despite the frequent dips in animation quality/production issues, Blue Lock remains wildly popular, so it is pretty likely that it will happen.

  1. Episode Nagi ends at min 75 with Chapter 12 in Vol 3 but then goes into a 7-minute montage of content from the main manga the spin-off didn´t get to at the time of making the film so that´s where it roughly ends.
