Where Does The Black Clover Anime End in The Manga?

I still remember the Black Clover anime series and its rocky start where everyone called it “another generic shounen,” but then it got really amazing, kept up that production quality without drifting to filler, and everyone changed that tune real quick. Anyway, it is an absolute shame that the anime ended in the way it did, but if any genre of anime can get itself rebooted years and years later, it is the shounen genre.

Where To Start The Black Clover Manga After The Anime?

If you finished all four seasons of the Black Clover anime and wish to continue the story with the manga, you can start at Chapter 270. The anime adapts some of this chapter, but not all.

Season four adapts through eight chapters of the eleven total chapters in Volume 27.

What to Expect From The Black Clover Manga?

People tend to think negatively of the Black Clover anime due to its somewhat average animation and art when compared to the manga, not anything it does with the story. The anime does a decent job adapting the actual story content.

As such, you don’t need to read Black Clover from the beginning unless you want to.

Is The Black Clover Manga Over?

The Black Clover manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2015, it releases between two to four volumes per year.

Black Clover Spin-Offs

Unlike other series, the Black Clover spin-offs are really nothing worth hunting down, but the light novels can be interesting.

  • Black Clover SD – Asta-kun’s Road to the Wizard King (Manga, Complete) – Chibi gag manga about Asta’s journey
  • Black Clover Side-Story – Quartet Knights (Manga, Complete) – Retelling of the story of the Quartet Knights game
  • Sword of the Wizard King (Light Novel, Complete) – Novelization of the Sword of the Wizard King Movie
  • Black Clover: Stubborn Black Bull (Light Novel, Complete) – Asta’s on an adventure with Fanzell, Dominante, and Mariella
  • Black Clover: Order of Knights (Light Novel, Complete) – Short stories about Asta and many various knights
  • Black Clover: Book of Yuno (Light Novel, Complete) – Short stories about Yuno

Will There Be A Black Clover Season 5?

There has been no official announcement of a Black Clover Season 5 anime – yet.

Black Clover initially ended at Season 4 as it was rapidly catching up to the manga. Shounen anime episodes eat through chapters at a quick pace and it is very likely that they are still waiting for the Black Clover manga to release more chapters before even considering another season of anime.
