If you only watch the 1997 Berserk anime, you will want to pick up at Chapter 87 in the manga.
If you watched the trilogy movies that cover roughly the same period or the Memorial Edition which is a TV adaptation of the movies, you can pick up a little later as they included Skull Knight. This means you can start a Chapter 88 in the manga.
If you have watched through both seasons of the 2016 Berserk anime, then you can start around Chapter 250 in the manga.

The Berserk manga is still ongoing. The original author, Kentaro Miura, died in 2021, but his mangaka colleague and friend Kouji Mori, as well as Miura’s team, have continued production. However, the manga still only releases a small handful of chapters per year.

Berserk is a legendary manga tale, and similar to Fist of the North Star, it has an ageless appeal as an anime series. It is likely we will see more Berserk someday. I just hope it is not more Golden Age and CGI has advanced enough that it looks good.
