What to Expect From The Beginning After The End Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The animation was not the only thing to fault Beginning After The End for. In the beginning, it was almost panel for panel with the manga, right down to the lack of animation, but as the series went on, they started altering a number of events. The outcomes of those events was kept the same, but they went often somewhat differently.
As the light novel is more detail-dense about the world and the manga has far better art, either way you want to consume this story would best be done from the beginning. That said, there is technically nothing stopping you from just continuing onward if you wanted to. They kept the core story intact, the anime just wasn’t an especially good way to consume it.
