Sure, you can have Cute Girls Doing Cute Things, but have you tried Cute Girls Doing Extreme Things? Like riding motorbikes with cute abandon?
Stories about motorcycles in anime are exceedingly rare, but if you don’t need it to be about dour, thrill-seeking renegades wandering the land on their steel horse, then Bakuon is a pretty good one!

Where To Start The Bakuon Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Bakuon anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 7, Chapter 45.
Only the Maid OVA is canon content, but it adapts Chapter 40, one of the skipped chapters.
What to Expect From The Bakuon Manga?
As Bakuon is very slice of life and doesn’t have an especially strong narrative to follow, it unfortunately gave the anime a bit of free license to skips quite a few chapters and cut a number of manga moments from the anime.
However, in the same vein, as Bakuon isn’t especially plot-heavy, there is no reason to read the series from the beginning either. You just miss some cute moments, but there is nothing skipped that would prevent you from continuing on with the story. So reading the Bakuon manga from the beginning has some merit due the anime skipping some moments, but it is definitely not necessary.
Is The Bakuon Manga Over?
The Bakuon manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2012, it has slowed its release to just one volume per year.
Will There Be A Bakuon Season 2?
As the Bakuon anime came out in 2016 and the manga has become so sluggish to release, it is safe to say a Bakuon Season 2 anime is not going to happen at this point.
