By request, I went and read way too much Baki manga, then rewatched the original Grappler Baki anime because it has been an age. Now that the testosterone flows, let us uncomplicate the complicated. Sorry it took so long, there were truly… so many volumes.

Where To Start The Baki Manga After The Anime?
As to where to pick up the Baki manga after the anime, the answer depends on which anime you watched.
The Baki manga is also separated into four core manga series:
- Grappler Baki (Has an anime)
- New Grappler Baki (Has an anime)
- Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre (Has an anime)
- Baki Dou (Has an anime)
- Baki Dou Part 2 (No anime)
- Baki Rahen (No anime)
If you watched the OG Grappler Baki anime, the Baki (2018) series is a sequel of it, not a reboot. Grappler Baki the anime covers the manga of the same name while Baki (2018) covers the New Grappler Baki manga series.
If you simply watched Grappler Baki, it covers all 42 volumes of the Grappler Baki manga. So you would start at the New Grappler Baki manga series and read onwards.
If you finished the Baki (2018) anime, it also adapts all 31 volumes of the New Grappler Baki manga, so you would then start at the Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre manga.
If you finished the Hanma Baki anime, all 37 volumes of Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre manga are fully adapted, so you would start at the Baki-Dou manga.
If you finished the Baki Dou anime, all 22 volumes of the Baki Dou manga are fully adapted, so you would start at the Baki Dou Part II manga.
Baki-Dou
If you finished the first season of Baki Dou and want to continue the story in the corresponding Baki Dou manga, you can start at:
- If you finished Baki Dou Part 1 – Start the manga at Volume 12, Chapter 99.
- If you finished Baki Dou Part 2 – The anime adapted the rest of the Baki Dou manga through Volume 22, Chapter 198, you would start the manga at Chapter 1 of the Baki Dou Part II manga. (Chapter 199 if the two series are lumped together as they often are on non-official sites)
It should be noted that each Baki anime is more abridged than the last. Baki Dou is particularly quick paced when it comes to adapting the manga and leaves many parts out. At this point, the Baki anime is more fan service for Baki manga fans than a good adaptation of the manga story.
Is The Baki Manga Over?
The original Grappler Baki manga is complete. It ended in 1999 with Volume 47, Chapter 371.
The Baki: New Grappler Baki sequel manga is complete. It ended in 2005 with Volume 31, Chapter 276.
The Hanma Baki sequel manga is complete. It ended in 2012 with Volume 37, Chapter 312.
The Baki Dou sequel manga is complete. It ended in 2018 with Volume 22, Chapter 198.
The Baki Dou Part 2 sequel manga is complete. It ended in 2023 with Volume 17, Chapter 154.
The Baki Rahen sequel manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2023, it releases about two volumes per year.
Will There Be A More Baki Anime?
