The nice thing about comedy is that it is subjective, and even if an anime came from the bygone age of moe characters and has aged significantly, it doesn’t mean that the random nonsense will stop being funny. Baka and Test is a romantic comedy that puts a real emphasis on the comedy bit, but also is a compelling romance in its own way too, almost surprisingly so.

The Baka and Test light novel is complete. It ended in 2015 with Novel 18.
Where To Start The Baka and Test Manga After The Anime?
Baka and Test also has a manga series. However, while the anime ends roughly at Chapter 73/74. I say “roughly” because 71 chapters is all I could find and Chapter 71 was “close to but not exactly at” where season 2 ends with the haunted house battle.
It is worth noting that the manga was also canceled. Chapter 72 is Volume 14 and there are only 15 volumes. Since the anime only adapts half the light novel content, math tells me that you won’t get too much further in the story, let alone to the ending. That is also probably why no one is bothering to translate it.

The Baka and Test manga is complete. It ended in 2016 with Chapter 84.
What to Expect From The Baka and Test Source Material Compared to The Anime?
While Baka and Test is a fun anime, it isn’t exactly the best adaptation of its source material. The entire reason you won’t get a third season is because they left out too many events and characters that they can’t retcon it enough to get to the ending.
Considering much of the first season of Baka and Test season one was filler, six novels in what remains is… a lot, thus the anime skips a lot. It is really highly recommended that you start from the beginning when reading the light novel.
Will There Be A Baka and Test Season 3?
The Baka and Test anime was a mess as an adaptation. As such, there really is no point for them to try and continue the anime when it would be very difficult adapt the story. Furthermore, enough time has passed since the second season that a Baka and Test Season 3 seems unlikely.
