If you finished the Asura Cryin’ anime and wish to continue the story in the light novel, you can start at Novel 1.
Asura Cryin’ Season 1 ends with the events of Novel 4 and the end of Season 2 is adapting Novel 13, technically, but the anime plot and the novel plot are practically two different things for as much as the anime changed and skipped.
The anime essentially adapts some events—occasionally just in concept only—and wildly abridges much of the novel it is adapting. This is a series you would both enjoy and understand better if you read it from the beginning.
