While distinctly cute girls doing cute science things and featuring some very strong yuri baiting, Asteroid in Love was also kind of a gift to astronomy and earth science fans. Yes, it has some strong yuri bait and told its story through the lens of moeblobs, but it was also educational on the subjects it was exploring in a way that only the CGDCT genre could get away with in a profitable way.

Also, what better way to entice young weebs into STEM than to suggest that cute girls might be in those school clubs, right?

What to Expect From The Asteroid in Love Manga?

The anime was a pretty diligent adaptation of the manga. The anime does rearrange some scenes and cuts of out a few jokes, likely to keep the more “serious, but cute” atmosphere that much of the anime had.

Regardless, there is no reason to go back and read the Asteroid in Love manga from the beginning unless you want to.

Will There Be An Asteroid in Love Season 2?

Unfortunately, the Asteroid in Love anime adapted nearly all of the manga it had in 2020. They could technically adapt another season out of what remains, but it seems unlikely and there many not be enough to flesh out another full season.

As the manga only recently ended and the anime adaptation is also rather recent itself, the potential is there for another season. It is just unlikely.
