It is a weird experience to see shoujo-style storytelling wedge into – of all things – an airsoft sports story, but at least no one can ever fault Aoharu x Machinegun for a lack of creativity.
While the series has some flaws, it does tell an interesting sports story mixed with many of the things shoujo fans loved about series like Ouran High School Host Club
