A story about gangs on super tweaked roller-blades? That can’t possibly make a compelling story – action, sports, or otherwise. And yet, Air Gear managed to captivate people with its street meets sky presentation and solid cast of fun characters.
However, the anime you fell in love with is definitely a shadow of the manga it is adapting.
Where To Start The Air Gear Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Air Gear anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Chapter 105.
While the Air Gear OVAs are canon and do continue the story, they skip quite a few chapters in the story to adapt the arcs that they do. If you don’t really care about that, then after the three-episode OVAs, you can start the Air Gear manga at Chapter 227.
What to Expect From The Air Gear Manga?
The Air Gear anime is a pretty abridged adaptation of the Air Gear manga. They cut quite a bit out of the story, but don’t particularly change anything. You would have a much better experience reading the manga from the beginning, but if you do just want to see what comes next, you can start the manga after where the anime ended and be okay.

Will There Be An Air Gear Season 2?
As the Air Gear anime ended in 2006 and the manga is also long over, an Air Gear Season 2 is very unlikely. In fact, it’d be more likely that they would remake it.
