Before isekai, particularly VRMMO isekai, really took off, Accel World was already playing with similar concepts in what is, to this day, still one of the more creative uses of them – which is less surprising when you realize that the Accel World light novel shares the same author as Sword Art Online.

Where To Start The Accel World Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Accel World anime and want to continue the story with the manga, you can technically start at Chapter 25.
However, as the manga only continues on for two more volumes, it is better to just read the story from the light novel source.
Is The Accel World Manga Over?
The Accel World manga is complete. It ended in 2017 with Chapter 45.
The manga adapts through Novel 5 of the Accel World light novel.
Accel World has has two spin-off manga:

What to Expect From The Accel World Source Material Compared to The Anime?
Accel World was a pretty decent anime adaptation. It moved quickly through four novels, but captured the key plot points. The anime is often left feeling a little unsatisfying open-ended since a lot of the plot threads are simply being set up in the novels the anime covered and concluded in novels that the anime did not adapt.
If you do love Accel World, it is worth reading the light novels from the beginning for all the small details about the world and characters that were left out, but technically the anime did adapt the major plot points well enough that you can continue on.
As a final note, while the manga is fine, it also cuts out details from the light novel. Since the manga also ends only a bit past where the anime ends, it isn’t really worth continuing the Accel World story with the manga.
Will There Be An Accel World Season 2?
There has been no official announcement of an Accel World Season 2 anime.
While fans would love one, Accel World got pretty drown out by author Reki Kawahara’s other light novel series, Sword Art Online. Things aren’t looking good for the series with the manga concluded and the light novels seemingly downgraded to side project.
