A Town Where You Live is a romantic drama built on a solid foundation to show you how long and messy relationships in life can sometimes be.
…But the anime doesn’t show you that strong foundation, and just decided to skip to the mess. Making a mess of itself in the process.

Where To Start The A Town Where You Live Manga After The Anime?
A Town Where You Live is an anime with a problem. That problem being that they decided to start the anime at Chapter 80 instead of Chapter 1.
Essentially, they skipped the Hiroshima arc about Haruto and Eba’s building relationship and instead decided to tell very little of it in flashbacks during the anime. This leaves the characters seeming unlikable if not creepy since you lack the critical information about their relationship.
That is, unfortunately, not the only thing the A Town Where You Live anime does wrong. You will also see it skip a lot in what it does adapt, including summarizing 42 chapters in about five episodes near the end.
The anime technically adapts from Chapter 80 to Chapter 142, but you definitely want to just read it from the beginning. It makes for a much better story.
The anime does summarize the 80 chapters it skips in the two-episode Twilight Intersection OVA, which is a prequel to the anime. However, it does little to further explain or endear you to the characters.
How is A Town Where You Live Related to Suzuka and Fuuka?
You will sometimes see the series Suzuka and its sequel Fuuka mentioned in relation to A Town Where You Live. All three series share the same author, but unlike Fuuka, which is a direct sequel to Suzuka as the titular Fuuka is the daughter of the main character in Suzuka, A Town Where You Live is only set in the same world.
You see a few cameos from Suzuka/Fuuka characters in A Town Where You Live, but the series are otherwise unrelated other than being set in the same world.
They are all related in that the author Seo Kouji enjoys writing heart-breaking stories and getting bad anime adaptations of them made, however.
Is The A Town Where You Live Manga Over?
The A Town Where You Live manga is complete. It ended in 2014 with Chapter 270.
Will There Be An A Town Where You Live Season 2?
The A Town Where You Live anime was a mess. They won’t be making more unless they remake it.
