I know for a fact that angsty, dramatic m/m pairings with a some sort of dangerous story still exist, but it’s a bit sad we don’t see anime made of them anymore.

Where To Start The 07 Ghost Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the 07 Ghost anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 5, Chapter 25.
The final episode of the anime adapts some of Chapter 25 in the second half, but not all of it.
What to Expect From The 07 Ghost Manga?
07 Ghost is fairly lore dense in its world-building, and while the anime almost adapts a chapter per episode, it doesn’t always adapt all the information present in that chapter. There is a bit of filler (at the end, mostly) and the anime does cut out some content.
If you found the anime story a bit hard to follow, you would definitely benefit from reading the manga from the beginning, but technically you can continue on after the anime. Some moments may be a bit more confusing later without context, though.
Is The 07 Ghost Manga Over?
The 07 Ghost manga is complete. It ended in 2013 with Volume 17, Chapter 100.
Technically, it ends at Chapter 99, but Chapter 100 was released in 2016 as a bonus.
