If you finished the I’m In Love With The Villainess anime and wish to continue the story in the light novel, you will want to start at Novel 2, Chapter 5, which is the second chapter of that light novel. They did such a great job adapting the first novel that they had to make due with the closest ending point they could get to.
The actual ending of Novel 2, even if they were to speed through it, would have been a similarly difficult place to end the series as well, so it was a solid choice even if it makes finding the start place in the light novel after the anime a bit difficult.
