Dark magical girl anime is often the most edgy of edgy anime, but Magical Girl Site really piled it on early to hammer home just how awful humans can be.
However, even if it was pretty heavy-handed with both the abuse and the anime-levels of forgiveness it used later on, it did create an interesting and potentially very brutal world. What’s more, the anime seemed to end just when it was really about to get interesting.
All that said, picking up the Magical Girl Site manga after finishing the anime is not as easy as it could be.
Where To Start The Magical Girl Site Manga After The Anime?
The very short answer on where to pick up the Magical Girl Site manga after the anime is Chapter 46. However, when doing that, keep in mind that the anime diverged from the manga in a major way near the end, and so that chapter is starting from the last canon event in the anime, which is Nijimin’s funeral.
I would recommend that you read the Magical Girl Site manga from the beginning even if you did watch the anime because it, truthfully, really leaves a lot of stuff out that builds out the world at lot better.
Furthermore, Magical Girl Site was also a sequel manga to an actually much better dark magical girl manga that never got an anime – Magical Girl of the End.
So I recommend:

- Read the Magical Girl Site manga from the beginning
- Read the spin-off following different magical girls, Magical Girl Site Sept
Magical Girl of the End is a “prequel” in that it shares the same universe and you will see characters from it make an appearance near the end of Magical Girl Site. It does, however, have a different story. It still has plenty of brutal magical girl-themed murder, though.
Is The Magical Girl Site Manga Over?
The Magical Girl Site manga is complete. It ended in 2019 with Chapter 141.
Will There Be A Magical Girl Site Season 2?
As it is has been some time since the Magical Girl Site anime aired and the manga has long been concluded, a Magical Girl Site Season 2 anime seems unlikely. Furthermore, you don’t move into an anime-only ending if you think there will be much hope for continuing the series.
