For those looking for this information in the run up to the now *long* awaited movie, both the manga and light novel have progressed a fair bit since the end of season 2. We’re well passed the end of the movie in the manga, and the light novel probably has enough content to handle the movie, and possibly two additional seasons of anime. Unfortunately, with the movie as late as it is and no official announcement on season 3, the likelihood of the anime catching up any time soon is slim at best.
