You know, for as much of a comedy shounen that it is, History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi is actually one of the best realistic fighting series you can enjoy. It lacks the hyper-masculine ultra-violence appeal of Baki or Kengan Ashura and is less over the top than something like Dragon Ball Z, instead choosing to focus on quirky characters, but more realistic fighting styles.

Where To Start The History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi Manga After The Anime?
If you have finished only the History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi TV anime, you can start the manga at Chapter 145.
History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi had its story continued in the Yami no Shuugeki OVAs, and if you have also watched those, you would then start the manga at Chapter 196.
What to Expect From The History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi Manga?
The TV anime for History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi was actually a really good anime adaptation. It skipped very few details from the manga. The OVAs were also quite good, but did skip more of the manga considering it had a lot fewer episodes to work with.
Either way, there really isn’t much reason to go back and read the manga from the beginning unless you want to.

The History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi manga is completed. It ended in 2014 with Chapter 584.
Will There Be A History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi Season 2?
Given that the manga is long concluded and the OVAs releases coincided with the ending of the manga, I would say that a History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi Season 2 is incredibly unlikely.
It may get a reboot at some point, but I’ve always felt that this was more of an underdog series and not hugely popular.
