Baseball may be Japan’s favorite sport, but when it comes to baseball sports anime the stories all tend to be pretty similar. While Big Windup stays with the long-standing tradition of being a baseball anime more about character stories than ball-playing, it does at least provide an innovative story for the main character ground down by accusations of nepotism despite giving it his all.
