I’m Standing On A Million Lives started off with a unique enough hook and more than the average amount of brutality for the standard isekai anime. However, its real charm came from the cunning of its main character. Although, I don’t know if the anime really does it justice.

You will note that this is not where the anime left off in the second season. Instead, it is around Episode 7 of the second season with the introduction of Glenda. The rest of Season 2 was filler. Its story content was not in the manga.

What to Expect From The I’m Standing On A Million Lives Manga?

The I’m Standing on a Million Lives anime is an okay adaptation of the manga, when it is adapting manga content. The anime diverges from the manga story at Season 2, Episode 7. This was technically a fair choice by the studio since the next arc it was going to cover from the manga is very lengthy and would not have provided a good place to end the season.

The “filler” content at the end of Season 2 is technically a plotline from the light novel/web novel version of this story, which is not the original version as you might be accustomed to seeing. Furthermore, that light novel version is, itself, an alternate “what if” version of the I’m Standing on a Million Lives manga story. So if you are one of those rare beasts that prefers light novels to manga, you cannot read the light novel as a substitution for the manga if you want the same story the anime is telling.

Is The I’m Standing On A Million Lives Manga Over?

The I’m Standing On A Million Lives manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2016, it has settled into a two-volume per year release schedule.

Will There Be A I’m Standing On A Million Lives Season 3?

Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement for a I’m Standing On A Million Lives Season 3 anime.

While there is more than enough content for another season, Season 2 drifting off into a original story at the end was not a good sign. That said, it does also leave them open to do more someday.
