The Dangers in My Heart was one of those ‘I read it long before the anime was announced’ manga series for me, and they did such a good job adapting it! I hope too many people didn’t drop it immediately because of the initial edgelord cringe. I know it almost put me off the manga, but I persevered and I am endlessly glad for it.

What To Expect From The Dangers In My Heart Manga?
The first season of The Dangers of My Heart Anime skipped a lot of the cute sub-chapters that have been released for the series as bonuses on the authors’ twitter. However, the good news is that it compiled all those chapters that is did skip, and animated them into the Twi-Yaba OVA released December 10th, 2023.
If you can’t find the OVA, it is well worth going back to read the bonus skits in the manga, for they are very cute.
Aside from that, you will notice that, if you read the manga from the beginning, that the anime re-ordered some events and changed them slightly. It doesn’t alter the outcome in any way, but it does make for more impactful anime scenes.
You definitely don’t need to read The Dangers in My Heart Manga from the beginning unless you just want to.
Is The Dangers In My Heart Manga Over?
The Dangers in My Heart Manga is still ongoing. The series started in 2018 and, at first, released at a one-volume per year rate. However, it has been releasing two volumes per year since 2021.
You can also enjoy the The Dangers in My Heart: The Romantic Comedy Won’t Start spin-off manga that started in 2025 following Kana having her own awkward love affair.
Will There Be A The Danger In My Heart Season 3?
There has been no official announcement of a The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 anime.
The manga just announced when it’s going to end. This article also doesn’t mention the movie.
I like to add what chapter each completed manga ends on, so I can’t update that just yet as it’s final chapter is still some months out. This is, however, a series I keep current on so it will be updated probably when the penultimate chapter comes out.
As for the movie, I thought it was supposed to be a compilation film not worth mentioning, but I saw they cast VAs for Kana’s band so I made the appropriate updates there.
