Huh. You know I didn’t really care much for The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten outside of its super groovy OP because it felt pretty hollow. It felt like it was just showcasing the pretty average characters in a “a girlfriend is just a mother you can someday bang” sort of relationship where she did everything, he did nothing, and she loved him because she was broken inside.
But the light novel is another story. I mean, it’s the same story, but done the way it should have been done where characters are developed and their relationship has actual weight to it. I know everyone says this anime was “super cute,” but the light novel actually is super cute.
