What to Expect From The Tales of Demons and Gods Source Material Compared to The Anime?

As with any donghua adaptation, there are many parts of Tales of Demons and Gods that are changed, condensed, re-arranged, or just plain left out of the story from the novel, especially later in the series when it is running low on chapters. Furthermore, some characters can appear a bit different in the manhua compared to the anime.

That said, the story isn’t as changed from the novel in the donghua all that much and it is still actually really easy to jump into the novel/manhua. It is mandatory if you are current with the anime to choose the manhua, however, as the novel is on hiatus/dropped by the author.

While you don’t need to read the Tales of Demons and Gods story from the beginning, there is tons of new details and a bit of new content if you do. You will find that the novel is much more serious, while the anime and manhua can be a bit more silly at times (without changing the story much).

Will There Be A Tales of Demons and Gods Season 11?
