Where To Start The Black Magic Manga After The Anime?
The Black Magic manga is a single-volume manga story that features four standalone sci-fi stories. The Black Magic OVA only covers the second story, Booby Trap.
That said, the Black Magic OVA might as well be “inspired by the manga” rather than being an adaptation of it. The OVA re-frames the story as a more tense “destroy the machine before it destroys everything” story and the manga has a different, less thriller-like pacing for the same concept of the story.
In the end, the Black Magic anime changes much about the story it is adapting, enough that the story is worth reading from the beginning when reading the other chapters.
