- If you finished Soul Land Season 1 – You can start at Chapter 35
- If you finished Soul Land Season 2 – You can start at Chapter 1 of the Soul Land 2: The Unrivaled Tang Sect sequel novel. Season 2 adapted through Chapter 336 of the original Soul Land novel.
- If you finished Soul Land 2: The Unrivaled Tang Sect Season 1 -The anime is still ongoing, but it is on track to end in later 2026/early 2027 with the adaptation of all of the Soul Land 2 novel.

Where To Start The Soul Land Manhua After The Anime?
While Soul Land (and all its sequels) have manhua series, the manhua deviates from the original Soul Land novel at around Chapter 140 when they begin to climb to the Sea God Island (which is about Chapter 230 in the novel, Episode 170 in the anime) to the point where it becomes very different.
The other Soul Land manhua actually stay closer to the novel, so they remain viable options.
Is The Soul Land Manhua Over?
Unlike the novel, the complete status for the various Soul Land manhua (1 through 5 all have concurrently running manhua series) is hard to find.
There is conflicting information that says the original Soul Land 1 manhua is complete, but I’ve found info that says it is complete at Chapter 369, but I’ve also found translated chapters as far as Chapter 619, which is not an ending to the story either.
The Soul Land 2 though 5 manhua all appear to still be actively ongoing.
(If you have more clear information that would help fans, leave a comment. I’m a Japanese manga person, not so much a Chinese manhua person. It’s always so much harder for me to find information on the Chinese novels/manhua/donghua, so I would appreciate knowledge from people more familiar.)
What to Expect From The Soul Land Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The first Soul Land anime is a fairly good adaptation of the novel story until it reaches the end of it where it starts to muddle the events going on in the novel. However, the Soul Land 2 anime, while adapting the core story good enough, does make a number of small changes to events and character dynamics, making it a less good adaptation.
As is common in donghua, both anime series really rush through the novel events, which can lead to pacing issues throughout the series.
Will There Be A Soul Land 3 Anime?
It is unlikely that there will be any announcement of a Soul Land 3 donghua until Soul Land 2 ends, but this is a popular series, so it seems likely to happen.
