Where To Start The Kodomo no Jikan Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Kodomo no Jikan anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at:
- If you finished Kodomo no Jikan Season 1 – You can start the manga at Volume 4, Chapter 22.
- If you finished Kodomo no Jikan Season 2 – You can start the manga at Volume 5, Chapter 29.
The OVAs adapt various chapters. The first OVA, What You Gave Me, adapts a loose, changed version of Chapter 10. Kuro-chan, Shiro-chan adapts a loose, extended version of Chapter 25, A Child’s Summer Time was a loose, changed version of Chapter 55.
Do note that the final two episodes of Season 1 are, for the most part, anime-original.
What to Expect From The Kodomo no Jikan Manga?
There is a lot that was skipped, cut out, and changed about the Kodomo no Jikan anime, for reasons you will understand upon reading the manga. While Season 2 does stick closer to the manga plot, it does still make some changes and omissions.
My recommendation, based on the quality of the adaptation, would be to read the manga from the beginning.
Is The Kodomo no Jikan Manga Over?
The Kodomo no Jikan manga is complete. It ended in 2013 with Volume 13, Chapter 93.
You can also explore Kodomo no Jikan Houkago, which is a single volume of side stories, but does contain a chapter that takes place after the end of the original manga.
Will There Be A Kodomo no Jikan Season 3?
Kodomo no Jikan’s reputation has not improved with time. I don’t think they’re making more.
