Where To Start The High School Kimengumi Manga After The Anime?

TL;DR – This one’s easy. Neither series adapts the manga in any sort of diligence. Read the manga from the beginning.

High School Kimengumi (1985)

The High School Kimengumi 1985 anime is pretty much pieced together from the manga. Even the first episode is roughly adapting the plot from the first chapter, but the gags differ. You will see bits and pieces from the anime in many manga chapters, but usually the gags and shenanigans are slightly altered so that the anime and manga feel like two similar, but different products working with the same premise.

High School Kimengumi (2026)

While the High School Kimengumi stays slightly closer to the manga in that it does more closely adapt some chapters, it also makes huge jumps around the manga, likely adapting fan-favorite stories, and even then still changing things.
