What to Expect From The Dark Moon – The Blood Alter Manhwa?

The Dark Moon anime is like boiled chicken. It’s food, but you deserve better. You are being fed a bland, highly condensed version of the plot where it appeared they really wanted to try and adapt as much of the manhwa’s first season as possible while also doing it as cheaply as possible.

The anime art is bland and toothless, they skip large chunks (particularly in many of the fights) and—for an anime about actual vampires and werewolves—the whole affair is pretty bloodless.

The Dark Moon anime is a pretty bad advertisement for the manhwa, and if you found enjoyment in the anime, the manhwa is more of that—but far better in every respect.

Consider reading the manhwa from the beginning, but the anime did pretty much give you a summary of the plot.

The Dark Moon The Blood Alter manhwa is complete. It ended in 2022 with Chapter 70.

A sequel to Blood Alter, Dark Moon: Two Moons started in 2025 and is currently ongoing.

You can also enjoy the prequel Children of Vamfield series following the boys in their youth and The Grey City side story following Khan. Both of which are ongoing.

Will There Be A Dark Moon – The Blood Alter Season 2?

There has been no official announcement of a Dark Moon Season 2 anime.

You should not expect one any time soon as Two Moons only has about 26 chapters.
