What to Expect From The Hero Without a Class Source Material Compared to The Anime?

Hero Without a Class is a story that doesn’t treat itself very seriously. It’s meant to be the sort of laid back comedic fantasy action, but that said, the studio seemed like it skipped anything that would be too much of a pain to animate. Basically, the anime skipped increasingly more fights, culminating at the end to the point where it pretty much just crammed half a light novel into one episode.

You don’t technically need to read Hero Without a Class from the beginning, but you should at least start at Novel 2. The manga is a little lower on details than the light novel, but starting closer to Chapter 13 would probably be a better experience as well.

That said, you have all the core details, so you are perfectly fine to just continue on with the story as well.
