Seeing Japan approach stories set in World War II is always intensely interesting in specifically how Japan is depicted. Joker Game tidily side-steps that since no one really expects spies to be super noble.

Where To Start The Joker Game Light Novel After The Anime?
If you finished the Joker Game anime and want to continue the story in the light novel, you would start at Novel 2.
Do note that while the anime adapted all of Novel 1’s stories, it does pull stories from other novels as well. So you will see content from the anime in later novels.

Joker Game has three manga series, not one of them adapts past the anime.

What to Expect From The Joker Game Source Material Compared to The Anime?
Joker Game, the novel, is a series of short stories about, primarily, the various spy agents in an agency working abroad. Both the anime and novels are told non-linearly and the anime does not adapt the stories in the same order they are in the novels.
Furthermore, as I mentioned above, the Joker Game anime adapts the full first novel, but also pulls individual stories from other novels as well.
The novels are quite a bit more detailed with the story and characters, so reading them from the beginning has merit, but is not necessary. You don’t need to read the Joker Game novels from the beginning unless you just want to.
Will There Be A Joker Game Season 2?
As the anime aired in 2016, coinciding with the novels ending, I don’t think there is much of a chance for a Joker Game Season 2 anime.
