Where To Start The Upotte Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Upotte anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 3, Chapter 23.
The anime does change the events of the battle with AK near the end. This chapter is when Genroku gets shot and things really deviate a bit from the manga.
What to Expect From The Upotte Manga?
The Upotte manga is comical, but it does actually have a plot that prevents it from skipping around the story too much. Other than changing the Red Steel High School battle at the end, likely to make a more clean ending for the anime, it did a fairly diligent job adapting the story. However, they do expand on a few parts with some anime-original content as well as insert fluff from the Upotte Nano comedy spin-off.
You don’t need to read the Upotte manga from the beginning unless you just want.
Is The Upotte Manga Over?
The Upotte manga is still ongoing. Since starting in 2009, it releases intermittently, but does still release.
You can also enjoy the comedic Upotte Nano spin-off, but it was canceled in 2013 with Chapter 27.
Will There Be A Upotte Season 2?
The Upotte anime aired in 2012, and somehow I don’t think it is going to get a Season 2.
