Where To Start The Getbackers Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Getbackers anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 14, Chapter 115.
Do note that the anime ending is fully anime-original. This picks up after Episode 33 where the anime starts to skew heavily towards anime-original episodes.
What to Expect From The Getbackers Manga?
The Getbackers anime is not exactly a great adaptation of the manga. It starts off fine enough, skipping a few small arcs, re-arranging events, and making some small changes, but what it skips and changes adds up a lot over time. Furthermore, after about Episode 33 , the anime dives increasingly into anime-original content.
While you have the core story enough to pick up the manga if you just want to see what happens next, it is strongly recommended to read the Getbackers manga from the beginning if only to experience the story as it was meant to be and because disregarding the anime-only bits can be difficult.
