I love a good medical anime, but I can appreciate that people love a more ecchi-leaning medical anime a bit more. Having it involve monster girls does make the it a little more palatable.

What to Expect From The Monster Girl Doctor Source Material Compared to The Anime?
While the anime makes plenty of time for it, the Monster Girl Doctor anime does skip a lot of the finer medical details from the light novel. The novels are basically what you got in the anime, but more of it. The cases are more detailed, the character moments between Glenn and Sapphee are more frequent, and it has a few smaller comedic moments that were skipped.
That said, the anime did cover all the cases and covered them decently. You don’t need to read the Monster Girl Doctor light novel from the beginning unless you just want to.
