Food “edutainment” education entertainment is the genre I most low-key love. This time, food and modern geishas!
It’s a shame, though. If this had been released like a normal series, it would have done probably a lot better.

Where To Start The Kiyo in Kyoto Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Kiyo in Kyoto anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 4, Chapter 41.
Technically, the final chapter adapted in the anime is Chapter 52, but the anime skips a number of chapters in between the first story of Episode 11 (chapter 40) and the last story of Episode 12 (Chapter 52), so you mind as well start as early as you can if you don’t want to read the series from the beginning.
What to Expect From The Kiyo in Kyoto Manga?
What chapters the Kiyo in Kyoto anime does adapt, it adapts almost perfectly. However, the main issue is that the anime does sort of skip a number of chapters as it pleases. However, as this is a pretty plotless slice of life series and they do adapt some of the more major character development moments, it doesn’t matter all that much that it skips chapters either.
While there is enough skipped chapters that it gives some good merit to reading the Kiyo in Kyoto manga from the beginning, it is not strictly necessary if you just want to see what happens next.
Is The Kiyo in Kyoto Manga Over?
The Kiyo in Kyoto manga is complete. It ended in 2025 with Volume 30, Chapter 327.
Will There Be A Kiyo in Kyoto Season 2?
As the anime aired in 2022, technically the window for more is still open. However, with the manga ending, if a Kiyo in Kyoto Season 2 anime isn’t announced soon, hope dies pretty quickly.
Unfortunately, the “one episode per month” release schedule of this series probably hurt Season 2 chances a lot.
