The Sacred Blacksmith, as an anime, is remembered as wasted potential with the occasional odd intrusion of fan service. However, it’s interesting concept really stretches its wings outside of it anime confines.

Where To Start The Sacred Blacksmith Light Novel After The Anime?
If you finished the Sacred Blacksmith anime and wish to continue the story in the light novel, you can start at Novel 2.
More specifically, you want to read the second half of Novel 2—titled Blacksmith—since the anime greatly changed how those events go to give the anime a flashier conclusion.
Is The Sacred Blacksmith Light Novel Over?
The Sacred Blacksmith light novel is complete. It ended in 2013 with Novel 16.
Where To Start The Sacred Blacksmith Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Sacred Blacksmith anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 4, Chapter 14.
Like with the light novel, this starts at where the anime diverges in the final episode.
Is The Sacred Blacksmith Manga Over?
The Sacred Blacksmith manga is complete. It ended in 2017 with Volume 10, Chapter 61.
The manga adapts through Novel 15 of the light novel, technically, but has a different ending.
What to Expect From The Sacred Blacksmith Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The Sacred Blacksmith is adapting the story of the light novel/manga, but it does so by cutting out a decent chunk of the world building and changing some of the events. Furthermore, the occasional ecchi and frequent lingering gaze that fan services up the anime is not really a thing in either the manga or light novel. While light novel/manga doesn’t really offer any ecchi, they both do embrace bloodier, more brutal action.
There is definitely a lot of merit to reading the Sacred Blacksmith from the beginning, particularly with the light novel since it does have a lot of world building. However, as long as you pick up either story where the anime started to deviate in the final episode, then you should be fine continuing on if you just want to see what happens next.
Will There Be A Sacred Blacksmith Season 2?
The way they changed the end of the first season seemed to suggest that the studio, even then, knew they weren’t going to get another season. As such, a Sacred Blacksmith Season 2 at this point is probably well off the table.
