With the wild shoujo success of Fruits Basket, it is honestly surprising that there aren’t more Chinese zodiac-based stories out there. While Etotama works with the concept, and does it in a fun way, it doesn’t exactly offer a lot of meat.

Where To Start The Etotama Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Etotama anime and want to continue the story with the manga, you will have to start at Chapter 1.
The Etotama manga works with the same characters and rough concept of the Etotama anime, but is quite different from the anime story.
The Etotama manga is not about fighting to collect the 12 seals that Nyaa needs for the ETM12. Instead, it is just about Nyaa wanting to join the zodiac, and being even more silly about it instead of really fighting anyone in earnest.
In truth, the anime was more re-imagining of the manga than an adaptation of it. Expect more slice of life with the manga and any action is silly and quickly over with.
Do note that the 2021 OVA is fully disconnected from the manga story, more so than the anime, as it adds in a fully new character.
Is The Etotama Manga Over?
The Etotama manga is complete. It ended in 2016 with Volume 3, Chapter 26.
Will There Be A Etotama Season 2?
As the Etotama anime ended in 2016, and the manga it was based on ended its brief run a year later, I’d say Etotama is done. Although it 2021 OVA was a surprise, so who knows.
