It is a story based around an old internet joke that, to probably some younger kids at this point, goes right over their head. However, Netoge brought absurd gamer comedy and just the right amount of provocative skin to not be called an ecchi anime.

The Netoge light novel is complete. It ended in 2023 with Novel 23.
Where To Start The Netoge Manga After The Anime?
Netoge has a manga series as well. If you prefer to continue the Netoge story with the manga after the anime instead, you can start at Chapter 25.
The anime adapted a little bit of that chapter, but mostly it was smooshed on during the credits.
Is The Netoge Manga Over?
The Netoge manga was canceled. It ended in 2018 with Chapter 46.
The manga adapts through Novel 6 of the light novel and has a manga-original ending.
What to Expect From The Netoge Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The Netoge anime is essentially just a summary of events from the light novel. The manga also is more aligned with the fast pace of the anime.
The light novels will be a lot more detail dense with the characters and especially the game. You also get a few bonus cute moments between the characters. However, if you just want to continue the story, you can still do so. You will just get fed a lot more world building and, jumping into Novel 5, some of it might not make sense.
If you want the easiest possible transition, reading the light novel from the beginning is best. The manga is much more like the anime, but does only adapt the story up to Novel 6 before abruptly ending.

At this point, I think it is safe to believe a Netoge Season 2 anime is just not going to happen.
