There was a moment in Wind Breaker were I was concerned that the first season was just going to be boys squaring off on a stage and fighting, but the end of that arc really made me see the golden core that people probably enjoy about this series – the heart. While the heart is also there in the manga, the anime really made it shine.

What to Expect From The Wind Breaker Manga?
As an anime adaptation, Wind Breaker was actually pretty fantastic. They did a great job really injecting some emotional weight into the right moments that made this series feel like more than just “kids beating up other kids.”
Anything that was skipped was pretty small. So there is no reason to read the Wind Breaker manga from the beginning unless you want to.
